About your hosts:

Abha Karki Rajbhandari, PhD
Neuroscientist and Spiritual Seeker

Abha is a neuroscientist who studies how the brain, vagus nerve, and body mechanisms interact with each other in the context of fear, stress, and anxiety.

Outside the lab, Abha is a life-long spiritual seeker and a whole brain-body health enthusiast. For her, yoga is not just something done on a mat; it is woven into every aspect of life. Born in Nepal, she moved to the United States to pursue higher education. While her spiritual journey began in Nepal, she continues to explore deep questions about human existence through the lenses of logic, reasoning, knowledge, and mysticism. Abha is passionate about bridging the gap between scientific and spiritual understandings of life.

Michael Stasko

Michael Stasko was born and raised in Miami, Florida. He earned a master’s degree in aerospace engineering while conducting research for NASA. A few years later, during his work as an analyst in spacecraft control, Michael was deeply moved by a series of personal insights and spiritual experiences that prompted him to leave his career and spend the next 10 years living in India.

From 2010-2019, Michael lived in an ashram and dedicated his life to serving his master, Her Holiness Sri Karunamayi, while deepening his practice of meditation, philosophy, prāṇāyāma and Sanskrit chanting. In 2019, he moved back to Miami where he offers coaching on conscious growth and relationships as well as teaches meditation and other spiritual practices.
